Middle School 2D Art - Mrs. Gillespie
(5th and 6th Grade 2D Art, 7th and 8th Grade Painting I, Painting II, Drawing I and Drawing II)

Creative expression and an appreciation for the Arts are the main goals of the Middle School 2D Art program.  Students have the opportunity to demonstrate and transfer their knowledge of the elements of art and principles of design in numerous projects.  Students in 5th and 6th grade are exposed to past and current artwork and are challenged to explore their relationship in history.  7th and 8th grade students begin to recognize art as integral to daily life as they expand upon their already expansive and impressive artistic foundation.
