Hornet Sports Report - December 5, 2016

Boys Basketball
The Greenhill boys basketball team notched a 4-2 record at the Houston Christian Tournament this past weekend and currently stand at 10-2 overall on the 2016-17 season.
 
The Hornets opened up action with a 68-29 victory over Lutheran South Academy before falling to Redemption Christian HomeSchool Academy, 59-54, in the nightcap. On Friday, the Hornets posted a pair of victories against St. Pius X High School (70-52) and Concordia High School (76-71) en route to advancing to the semifinals.
 
On the final day of action, the Hornets defeated Bishop Lynch High School by a 65-50 count then fell to Redemption Christian HomeSchool Academy for a second time by a 66-43 margin. At the end of the tournament, senior Konnell Woods and junior Xavier Bryant were each selected to the all-tournament team.
 
Girls Basketball
The Greenhill girls basketball team posted a 2-1 record at the Bishop Lynch Tournament this past weekend in Dallas and currently stand at 9-5 on the season. After defeating Wilmer Hutchins High School, the Hornets dropped a hard-fought 62-57 decision to Rockwall High School on Friday evening. The Hornets defeated Mesquite High School by a 62-29 count to close out tournament action.
