Greenhill Students Partner with Area Schools for Cancer Assistance

Greenhill eighth-grader Carter Weinstein, along with 20 other Greenhill MS/HS students, has launched a Teen Board for Heroes for Children. Heroes for Children provides financial and social assistance to families in Texas who have a child battling cancer.

Students from ESD, Parish, JJ Pearce, TCA, Frisco ISD, and Franklin have worked with the Weinstein family to make this happen. Carter’s family has been integrally involved with the organization for many years. The organization was started by two Dallas Moms who lost their daughters to Leukemia. A friend of Carter’s was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma a couple of years ago and Carter was moved to do more with HFC in his honor.

Carter has worked with the Executive Committee to choose events that he and the teen board could actively support throughout the year. So far, over sixty kids from across the DFW Metroplex have joined the HFC Teen Board!
