Hornets Collect 59-39 Home Victory Over Casady School

The Greenhill football team improved to 3-0 on the 2016 season following a 59-39 victory over Casady School on Friday evening at Brinkmann Field.
 
Junior Xavier Bryant scored four touchdowns - one offensive, two defensive and one special teams - to lead the Hornets. Bryant scored on his first touchdown in the first quarter on a 3-yard pass as well as an 84-yard punt return. Defensively, Bryant scored on a 38-yard interception then picked off a Casady two-point conversion and returned it 102 yards for a touchdown.
 
Senior Konnell Woods connected on 19-of-29 passes and three touchdowns while rushing for a team-high 98 yards and one score. Woods threw touchdown passes of 25 and 20 yards to his brother, Kassidy - who finished with nine catches for 163 yards. Konnell Woods also added a 10-yard touchdown run to open up the fourth quarter.
 
Senior Jake Hershman rushed for 25 yards on eight attempts, including touchdown scores of 1 and 2 yards. In addition, Hershman caught three passes for 26 yards, and Bryson Houston caught three passes for 25 yards. JT Herrscher finished wtih three solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles while Curtis Dorsey added five solo tackles. Douglass Smith and Michael Simpson each recorded a sack in the game.
