Alumni Volunteer Opportunities in November/ December

Greenhill “encourages service” in the mission statement and that extends to our alumni, families and faculty. We can all make a difference!
The Alumni Board has several one-time service opportunities for our alumni throughout the year. No special training or experience is required. This is the first for the 2016-17 school year. It’s a great way to interact with other members of our community.
Please contact Katie Young at youngka@greenhill.org if you would like to sign up for any of these dates.

Holiday Delivery Sign-Up – Thanksgiving & Christmas
If your family or friends are looking for another opportunity, VNA is seeking assistance with holiday deliveries on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 24) and Christmas (Monday, December 26). Please note that since Christmas Day falls on Sunday this year, the holiday delivery event will take place on Monday

On both holidays, volunteers arrive at the VNA Haggerty Center (1440 W. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, 75247) between 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. to pick-up assigned route. They make it super easy – you drive up, check-in, get your client list and turn by turn driving directions, then on-site volunteers are there to help load up the food in your vehicle. Meals are packed in two standard-sized Coleman coolers; however, many volunteers do bring their own coolers/blue insulated cooler bags so they won’t have to make the trip back to VNA when their route is finished.   A typical route serves about 10 clients and takes about 2 hours – start to finish!

To reserve your route for one or both holidays, contact Melanie Crommett at crommettm@vnatexas.org or Kelly Reed atreedk@vnatexas.org
