Southwest Preparatory Conference Announces Spring Awards

The Southwest Preparatory Conference announced on Tuesday that Greenhill School had 26 student-athletes honored with spring all-conference recognition.
 
The defending conference champion girls track and field team had a team-high seven all-conference award winners. Junior Jernaya Sharp earned all-conference honors in six events, including the 100-meter dash, 100-meter hurdles, long jump, triple jump, 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay. Sharp has earned 11 all-conference awards in the past two seasons for the Hornets.
 
Senior Kelli Banks earned all-conference laurels in four events, including the 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, 4x400-meter relay and triple jump, and has tallied seven conference awards over the past two seasons. Sophomore Ellen Margaret Andrews received all-conference accolades in four events, including the 400-meter dash, pole vault, 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay, and has earned six conference honors over the last two seasons.
 
Emily Richmond earned all-conference honors in both the 4x400-meter relay and pole vault for the first time in her career while Hope Rovner and Rheagan Smith each earned all-conference laurels in the 4x100-meter relay for the second consecutive season. Junior Amelia Jones earned all-conference honors in the pole vault for the second straight season after claiming the event individual title.
 
The boys track and field team had four student-athletes earn all-conference recognition. Junior Justin Estrada earned all-conference honors in the 400-meter dash to go along with the 4x400-meter relay. Paulo Springer earned all-conference laurels in the 4x400-meter relay. This marked the third consecutive season that Estrada and Springer have earned all-conference nods.
 
Douglass Smith earned all-conference honors for the second straight season in the 4x400-meter relay while freshman Antonio Lapeyrolerie was an all-conference performer in the high jump as well as 4x400-meter relay.
 
The boys tennis team - who captured the conference title for the third consecutive season - had a trio of all-conference award winners in two-time performer Chris Jones along with Nate Eazor and Rishi Vas.
 
The girls tennis team - who won the conference title for the first time since the 2009 season - had three all-conference performers. Jenna Reisler earned all-conference accolades for the third time in her career while Julia Reisler and Madhuri Deo became two-time award winners.
 
Luke Wagner earned all-conference honors for the third consecutive season for boys lacrosse while teammate Daniel Spomer notched honors for the second time in his career. Brianna Kessler became a three-time all-conference award winner while Gabrielle Coben earned honors for the first time in her career for the girls lacrosse team.
 
Alan Bliss became a two-time all-conference award winner for the baseball program. Caitlin Hoagland earned all-conference honors for the second straight season as a member of the softball team while teammate Hailey Wetherill became a first-time winner.
 
Madison Pidgeon earned all-conference honors for the girls golf team for the first time in her career while Evan Haynes earned all-conference recognition for the boys golf team.
