Hornet Sports Report - October 5, 2016

Girls Volleyball
The Greenhill girls volleyball team improved to 22-7 overall, including 3-0 in SPC Counter action, after posting a 3-1 victory (25-19, 25-14, 24-26, 25-14) over Oakridge School on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Junior Allie Frymire nearly missed out on a triple-double as the Hornets' setter dished out 33 assists to go along with nine digs, eight kills and three service aces. Junior Michal Mathis recorded a team-high 16 kills to go along with nine digs and three service aces while senior Ellen Margaret Andrews collected 15 kills, nine digs, five service aces and four assists. Junior Jessica Pugh posted a strong match with 11 digs, eight kills and two service aces while Arfa Chowdhary chipped in with seven digs.
 
Field Hockey
The Greenhill field hockey team suffered a 1-0 setback to Oakridge School at home on Tuesday afternoon in SPC Counter action. The Hornets fell to 2-7-1 overall and 0-2 in conference action.
