Middle School Student Earns Summer Writing Apprenticeship

Greenhill eighth grader Caroline Sasso has been selected to participate in a letterpress apprenticeship with Ugly Duckling Presses this upcoming summer in New York.Sasso was one of four students in the country selected for the apprenticeship and was the only Middle School student to earn this opportunity. As part of her apprenticeship, Sasso will attend seminars and learn performance poetics, which will lead up to a chapbook launch (selection of her writings) at the Poets House in New York City. A passionate and prolific creative writer, Sasso has attended the Stanford Summer Institute for the past two years and will once again return this upcoming summer.Congratulations Caroline on this wonderful opportunity!
