Boys & Girls Volleyball Claim SPC Championship Titles

Girls Volleyball
The Greenhill girls volleyball team notched its first SPC Championship trophy since the 2005 season after the Hornets defeated All Saints' Episcopal School in three sets (25-12, 25-19, 28-26) on Saturday afternoon at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Austin.
 
The Hornets won their final 15 matches of the season and ended the season with a 35-6 overall record, which marked their most single-season victories total since the 2005 season.
 
Senior Danielle Milner capped off her stellar Greenhill career with a double-double following a match-high 15 kills to go along with 10 digs. Ellen Margaret Andrews added a double-double with a 10-kill, 10-dig performance, and Jessica Pugh collected seven kills and six digs in the contest.
 
Setter Allie Frymire notched a double-double in the contest after dishing out 37 assists to go along with 11 digs, three service aces and two kills. Michal Mathis added seven digs and six kills, and Megan Olschwanger collected 11 digs in the contest.
 
Boys Volleyball
The Greenhill boys volleyball team captured its first SPC Championship crown since the 2011 season following a 3-0 victory over Casady School on Saturday afternoon at St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Austin.
 
The Hornets concluded their season with a 25-9 overall record under first-year head coach Mauro Grasso.
 
Cross Country
The Greenhill girls cross country team posted a third-place showing while the boys' squad finished seventh overall at the SPC Fall Championships on Saturday morning in Austin.
 
Ariana Luterman led the Hornets with a ninth-place showing after crossing the end line at the 20:26 mark. Madison Cook finished 18th overall with a time of 20:58 while Chandler Crates recorded a time of 21:03 en route to finishing 19th overall. Luterman, Cook and Crates earned All-SPC honors following the meet, which marked the second time in each of their careers that they were honored with all-conference recognition. Cameron Crates finished 22nd overall with a time of 21:19, and freshman Kyra Moran placed 30th overall with a time of 21:36.
 
St. John's School captured the SPC Fall Championships crown with a team score of 20 while Hockaday School (84), Greenhill (98), St. Andrew's Episcopal School (104) and Kinkaid School (135) rounded out the top five.
 
Sophomore Daniel Brickman led the Hornets with a 16th-place showing after crossing the end line with a time of 17:20. Freshman Jacob Shepherd finished 20th overall with a time of 17:25. For their efforts, Brickman and Shepherd were honored with all-conference recognition following the championship meet. Matthew Zweig placed 42nd overall with a time of 18:13, and Eli Krakow recorded a time of 18:22 en route to finishing 44th overall. Sophomore Sam Grimsley posted a time of 18:28 and finished 50th overall.
 
St. John's School captured the SPC Fall Championship trophy with a team score of 53 while St. Stephen's Episcopal School (69), St. Mark's School of Texas (90), Kinkaid School (144) and John Cooper School (145) rounded out the top five. The Hornets posted a team score of 172.
 
Field Hockey
The Greenhill field hockey team suffered a 5-0 setback to Hockaday School on Saturday morning and finished sixth overall at the SPC Fall Championships in Austin. The Hornets concluded their season with a 6-9-1 overall record.
