Co-Founder of The Container Store Visits Greenhill for Earth Day
In a special Earth Day presentation on April 20, leader in retail innovation and sustainability, Garrett Boone, spoke to Upper School students and faculty about his journey from a recent college grad working in a furniture store to one of the top retailers in the nation, as co-founder of The Container Store.
Mr. Boone spoke about three avenues of his life including the making of The Container Store, his new venture as founder of TreeHouse, Inc., a home improvement store for sustainable products, and his work in Texas state law as an environmental advocate with particular interest in the Elm Fork area of the Trinity River.

Mr. Boone also led a smaller lunchtime discussion with members of the Business Club, Eco Club, Evergreen, and Green Team about business and retail points of interest.
Garrett Boone is also father of alumni Aimee Boone ’97 and Katherine Boone ’00.
