Children's Author to Visit Greenhill School for Earth Day

The Greenhill School Cultural Arts Committee will welcome Bluebonnet author Polly Holyoke to campus on April 20-21 as part of an Authors for Earth Day event.

The acclaimed children's author will share her book, The Neptune Project, an undersea adventure story will a strong environmental message, with students in grades 3-6. In addition, Holyoke will lead a writing seminar in conjunction with the Cultural Arts Committee's 6th grade Writers' Workshop Program on the second day of her visit to the Greenhill campus.

In keeping with the spirit of Earth Day, Holyoke has pledged a portion of her honorarium to an environmental charity selected by Greenhill students. The Upper School Ecology Club has selected Love of the Lake, a local non-profit dedicated to preserving White Rock Lake, in honor of Holyoke's commitment to water environmentalism.
