Greenhill Robotics Team Places 11th at Regional Competition

The Greenhill Robotics Team finished 11th overall this past weekend at the 2015 Southwest Regional FTC Championships held at The University of Texas at Arlington.

The Viridian Robotics Team - which represented Greenhill - consisted of Peter Sumner `17, Oliver Dai `18, Andrew Glick `18, Nicholas Mui `18, Victoria Shiau `18, Jason Wu `18, Amy Yang `18 and Jackson Carroll `17 (absent from competition). The team was also selected as a finalist for the PTC Design Award. The intention of the PTC Design Award is "to expand the challenge, inspiring teams to incorporate industrial design into their robots. These elements can be shown in the simplicity of the design as it applies to the tasks, the look and feel of the robot, and how the design allows us to think of robots in new ways. The design aspect must serve a function, but they should also differentiate the robot in a unique fashion, not an easy task with a limited set of parts and game challenge."
