Hornet Sports Report - October 31, 2014

Girls Volleyball
The Greenhill girls volleyball team improved to 25-11 overall, including 7-1 in SPC Counter action, after defeating Hockaday School, 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-17), on Senior Night at Phillips Gymnasium on Thursday.
 
Danielle Milner led the Hornets with 13 assists and eight kills - both of which were team-highs - to go along with three digs and one service ace. Ellen Margaret Andrews notched seven kills, seven assists and three service aces while Alex Drossos collected six kills and three digs in the contest.
 
Boys Volleyball
The Greenhill boys volleyball team defeated Trinity Valley School in straight sets (25-20, 25-15, 25-14) in its regular-season finale on Thursday at Phillips Gymnasium.
 
Chandler Notley led the Hornets with a match-high 19 kills to go along with five digs and two service aces while Grayson Taylor notched a match-high 25 assists. Rishi Vas recorded four kills, and Ryan Diebner led the Hornets with nine digs in the contest.
 
The Hornets will now head into the SPC Fall Championships with an 18-13 overall record and 4-4 mark in SPC Counter action.
 
Field Hockey
The Greenhill field hockey team fell to Hockaday School in penalty strokes, 1-1 (1-0), on Thursday and dropped its overall record to 12-4-2 and 5-3 in SPC Counter action.
