Two Greenhill Alumni Awarded Fulbright Scholarships

Two Greenhill Alumni will travel abroad for the 2013-2014 academic year through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Recipients of Fulbright grants are selected on the basis of academic and professional achievement, as well as demonstrated leadership potential.
 
Matt McCrary ’08 is living in Sydney, Australia. He was awarded a Fulbright grant to create and implement a collaborative research project between the University of Sydney Medical School and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. He will be researching the effects of core muscle activation and strengthening on upper extremity injury and pain in instrumental musicians.
 
Doug Daniels ’09 was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and is living in Germany. Doug will spend the next year researching Germany’s perception of risk and lending practices for Germany’s Mittelstand – a term used to refer to small and mid-sized German enterprises. He is working through The University of Cologne.
